What’s New in the Winter ’25 Release of Marketing Cloud on Core
The Winter ’25 Release offers a glimpse into Marketing Cloud’s future. It also highlights Salesforce’s growing investment in this platform.
Not only did this release include exciting product updates, but it also introduced a major announcement: Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition.
From Growth to Advanced: What’s Changing?
Previously, in Spring 2024, Salesforce launched Marketing Cloud Growth Edition—the first marketing tool built on Data Cloud within the CRM.
Now, Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition expands those capabilities. It also includes new, exclusive features not available in Growth.
For example, it offers two-way SMS messaging, A/B testing, and enhanced Einstein and AI-powered functionality for marketers.
Therefore, users can personalize at scale and make more data-informed decisions within the same CRM environment.
Features for Growth and Advanced Users
Whether you’re using Growth or Advanced, the Winter release includes several new tools to solve everyday marketing challenges.
Dynamic Content now allows marketers to personalize messages. It swaps text and images based on audience attributes.
Additionally, Opportunity Influence captures email engagement and links it to closed/won opportunities for improved attribution tracking.
This upgrade builds on Campaign Influence and offers better visibility into marketing’s impact on sales performance.
Marketing Performance Reporting is also new. It delivers insights through dashboards embedded directly in the Campaign record.
Consequently, marketers can measure impact without switching tools or platforms.
Enhanced Admin Experience
The Winter ’25 release also improves the setup experience. For example, admins will notice updated tools and workflows.
Marketing Data Kits are now required. These preconfigured kits simplify campaign setup and standardize data usage across teams.
Furthermore, administrators can manage Marketing Cloud more easily with streamlined setup and improved UX.
